a2 advertisement key concept analysis

one of the main things we do at a2 is aqpply key concepts to "texts".

we've had a little practice doing this for vampire films.

but we need to practise applying the concepts to other texts.

here's an advert for gillette razors from 1994.

one of the topics studied at a2 is 'objects of desire' which looks at consumer culture - buying things, how we're made to desire consumer products.

watch the advert and use your key concepts booklet to analyse the ad at each level.

later, you'll select your own ads to post on your blog with an analysis.
